Description
Suggest revising the following sentence: The non-PHI information exchanged is considered "de-identified, but potentially re-identifiable". As such, when retaining this information for audit purposes, access to the information SHALL be restricted and itself audited as would access to PHI log information.
What is an example use case of non-PHI exchanged between a payer and a provider? Not sure we understand the purpose of this note. Further, there needs to be stronger definitions around a self-pay patient where CRD Service is NOT triggered, and a de-identified CRD inquiry for sensitive information.
