Description
The status values distinguish between in-progress vs completed, but the event to which status applies is unclear, as is the requirement.
For the pharmacovigilance case, where the event is the the pathology, this makes some sense-a symptom or condition may persist over time-but the associated Condition resource should tell us that, if it's significant.
For the patient safety case, the event is the healthcare act, which is always stopped when it is recognized (right?). If this means that patient safety cases are always "completed", that should be written. (Or, if it's ever not complete, what that means.)
If the only reason to have a status is so we have a place to say "entered-in-error," then we should have that value and "not-entered-in-error", or "record" or some other general term.
Option: remove status
Option: generic error and not-error states
Option: clarify that status may be redundant with Condition in PV case and always Complete in PS case.
Option: assign status to the AE judgement. Potential, Confirmed, Refuted.
Option: assign status to the AE reporting cycle.
