Background:

Current value set is consistent with USCDI birth sex , and referenced terminology

"UNK" subsumes "ASKU" (see codesystem below) and is used for all flavors of unknown. However, there is a consensus among implementers that is can be supported.

Will add ASKU to valueset

Follow up:

Recommend ONC update USCDI guidance and VSAC stewards update the valuset.
