      A comment has been added to section 4.2.1 as follows:

      A pre-requisite for this request is that the member has the information from their prior coverage, or member identity card, such as member number, subscriber number, group id, plan id. If the member does not have this information and does not have their prior coverage card they would be required to contact their prior plan to obtain this information.

    Description

      There are assumed operational impacts when a member does not have their former payer identification card. Examples: (1) the member would have to call into their former payer and request their old ID number; (2) member calls into their new payer requesting P2P data transfer, but they don't have their own member ID info.

      As discussed during the HL7 PDEX Connectathon afternoon session.
