      From the fhir specification:

If an extensible binding is applied to an element with maximum cardinality > 1, the binding applies to all the elements.(http://hl7.org/fhir/R4/terminologies.html#extensible)

Will slice all elements  where bindings exist and cardinality >1

    Description

For Condition, US Core requires category with an extensible binding to US Core Condition Category Codes.

US Core is binding all repetitions of category instead of slicing and forcing their particular category on only one slice.

When we try to add an optional category slice to the profile in our IG, we cannot offer a binding strength other than extensible (or required) because US Core has extensible binding on the base value.
