    Description

CMDOSU defines the units for the medication under CMDOSE (dose would be numerical and the units captured in CMDOSU). This is mapped to FHIR MedicationStatement.dosage.maxDosePerPeriod”, which captures the maximum total quantity of a therapeutic substance that may be administered to a subject over the period of time (e.g. 1000mg in 24 hours). Thus, the CDISC mapping is solely to provide the units of the dose, but max dosage is indicated the maximum dosing.
