    Description

      The US Encounter Type Value set CLD includes:

      All of CPT is not appropriate for encounters. The C-CDA value set for encounter type could be re-used -https://vsac.nlm.nih.gov/valueset/2.16.840.1.113883.3.88.12.80.32/expansion  but does not use SNOMED.

      Is SNOMED used by vendors for encounter type?

      This CPT set has been used in C-CDA for many years.

      Suggest aligning with and reusing the C-CDA EncounterTypeCode value set (https://vsac.nlm.nih.gov/valueset/2.16.840.1.113883.3.88.12.80.32/expansion)
