The named event will be changed to "encounter-end".
The semantic definition will be changed to indicate the closure of an encounter which is determined by either encounter.period.high being populated AND/OR encounter.status=finished.
A Subscription Topic will be created for the Named Event in the IG that would meet this definition.

To standardize a formal definition, we will be working with the Subscription Team to define the Subscription Topic and its associated definition as part of the ticket 30717 for all named events including this one. The formal definition is intended to resolve the ambiguities identified in the comment.

    Description

Encounter-closed - "Indicates the close of an encounter"

Is "close" synonymous with "end"? Is this trigger hit when the patient leaves the encounter (eg is discharged or the leaves an ambulatory facility) or is this about the administrative closing of an encounter (eg. all transcribed reports have been received, order lab tests have been resulted, charges have dropped)? Please clarify the meaning of "close" and if the first meaning is meant, "end" may be a better word to use as "close" often is interpreted as the latter.
