      The following content is intended to apply to all Da Vinci IGs. This section represents security and privacy considerations and potential technical methods and mechanisms to support a range of data exchange use cases that impact an individual’s overall trust in the use of their data. Implementers are encouraged to view this section as a collection of practices to strengthen the security and privacy of consumers, providers, and other individuals’ data, and to promote good data protection practice. This part of the IG is not intended to be testable, nor is it meant to override an implementer’s organizational policies, procedures, or legal counsel. Implementers are encouraged to consult with their legal counsel about whether their implementations comply with all applicable privacy and security laws.
