      Initial goal was to focus on underserved Post Acute Order exchanges, especially DME and Home Health.  We will work to avoid any requirements that may inhibit the use of this guide as a template for other Post Acute Order environments (e.g. imaging, lab).

      Once we have DME and Home Health "working" we can come back and expand the scope of the IG in a second version (e.g. STU2).

    Description

      To make this guide more broadly applicable we recomend that the scope be expanded address orders for services where there is ordering/rendering provider. For example, we know that imaging and labs have the same challenges of not having the info needed for the PA (or AUC) with the order, requiring back-and-forth with the ordering practice.
