Railroad diagrams are pretty easy to generate with the linked tool, and there is enough agreement that it would be useful to say that we will incorporate these railroad diagrams throughout the documentation in the Author's Guide and Developer's Guide. That may involve construction of guide-specific variants of the G4 files, but those would not change the structure, only the elements that were displayed, focused on a particular target audience.

    Description

It is a very general comment but when I start reading section 4 I stumble upon this again: I miss the clear grammar description of the CQL language in this specification. I would like to be able to see how the language is structured. Otherwise I can not immediately relate the explained expressions to where and how I can use them. See e.g. grammar pictures as in https://www.sqlite.org/lang_select.html or a BNF would also be fine.
