The denominator exclusions is typically captured automatically based on the CQM and CQL.

Will add this text to precondition and assumptions to make the following assumption explicit: Need to create the structured data: "It is the responsibility of the Producer to ensure that measure data is present in a structured, retrievable form." https://build.fhir.org/ig/HL7/davinci-deqm/guidance.html#preconditions-and-assumptions

RE: Denominator exclusions not captured automatically how are they reported?
      1. Some of this will be covered in Gaps in Care Implementation.
It will allow identification of which patients to enter the clinical data in the medical record to document it.
      2. The measure may have defined the logical processing of missing data

    Description

Are denominator exclusions going to be determined automatically through structured data? There should be a mechanism for a provider to request denominator exclusion for a particular patient if it isn’t going to be captured automatically.

      Existing Wording:

Introduction : the data-of-interest is the set of conditions, procedures, and observations related to determining whether a patient is in the initial population, denominator, denominator exclusions, and numerator of the CQM
