Yes, the CDS Hooks patient-view hook is triggered when the physician opens the patient's record. I think you're exactly correct that the `patient-view` hook is not super useful for real use-cases and that more specific workflow steps are superior workflow steps for triggering external cds. Do note that we do have [some of these much more useful workflow steps | https://cds-hooks.org/hooks/order-select/ ] defined as hooks. We're working to collect implementation experience on these more specific hooks; for better or worse, the community has the most implementation experience with this simplest, easiest to implement and least specifically useful hook.
