      There was a joint project to define the scope and boundaries of Medication, MedKnowledge, and the IDMP resources from BR&R.  We will update the Medication Module with additional content including the relationship diagram from that project.

      The MedKnowledge resources does include many of the attributes from your list although some, like ClinicalTrials, are out of scope.

      We continue to look for implementers.  Will update once we have them.

      Originally submitted in GF 18865 and was not in scope for ballot. To be considered for R5:

      It is unclear whether this resource is intended to support (1) creation of medication catalogue/drug formulary, or (2) for creating medication knowledge base

      As as, this resource is a mix-bag and serves both purposes very poorly

      If it is intended for (2), the structure definition needs to be redesigned to include contents such as:

      • name of medication
      • composition and pharmaceutical form
      • clinical features including:
      • Therapeutic indications
      • Dose, preparation, and method of administration
      • Contraindications
      • Special warning and precautions for use
      • Adverse effects
      • Dose range and overdose
      • Pharmacological properties, including:
      • Pharmacodynamic properties
      • Pharmacokinetic properties
      • Clinical trials
      • Pharmaceutical properties, including:
      • List of excipients
      • Incompatibilities
      • Special precautions for storage and disposal
