Proposed motion to not reference the definition to avoid having to look elsewhere, but rather fix the typos:

      FROM:

The identifier that is to be associated with every Device that references this DeviceDefintiion for the issuer and jurisdication porvided in the DeviceDefinition.udiDeviceIdentifier.

      TO:

The identifier that is to be associated with every Device that references this DeviceDefintion for the issuer and jurisdiction provided in the DeviceDefinition.udiDeviceIdentifier.

    Description

Currently there are some typos in the *DeviceDefinition.udiDeviceIdentifier.deviceIdentifier. *

Instead of just fixing the language, I would recomment referencing the equivalent data elements for UDI-DI in Device.

        • DeviceDefinition.udiDeviceIdentifier.deviceIdentifier could reference Device.udiCarrier.deviceIdentifier* definition, without redefining the data element.
      • DeviceDefinition.udiDeviceIdentifier.issuer *could reference Device.udiCarrier.issuer *definition, without redefining the data element.

This way we can maintain the definition of each field in one place - in the Device resource which existed before DeviceDefintion and it's already implemented.
