      Will add the following clarification:

Note that supply.repeatNumber = initial fill + refills, therefore to calculate the number of refills using supply.repeatNumber, refills = repeatNumber – 1.

    Description

Since we use supply.repeatNumber for QDM Attribute: refill. There has been confusion about whether "repeatNumber = initial fill + number of refills" or "repeatNumber = number of refills (not including the first one)"

The consensus from the Structure Document WG is that the repeatNumber = initial fill + number of refills.

This means that when using the number provided in supply.repeatNumber to calculate Cumulative Medication Duration, refills = repeatNumber - 1.

Will add clarification to make this clear.
