    • Public Health Case Report - Electronic Initial Case Report (eICR) (CDA)
    • Public Health
    • TBD
    • patient name

7/27/2017 This is actually a US Realm Header / C-CDA issue. However, the Schematron does allow multiple names, because the US Realm Person Name (PN.US.FIELDED) template is not correct and the Schematron has already been updated so that the constraint 81-9368 isn't tested. The latest version of the Schematron (the one on GForge) contains the update that stops the erroneous 81-9368 from being tested (the previous version on GForge did not have this fix, it must have been updated between now and when we released back in December).

      Document Description

extended per TSC Tracker 12574, extension TSC GF 15952, JIRA TSC-29, TSC-123

      Existing Wording

This patientRole SHALL contain exactly one [1..1] patient (CONF:1198-5283). 1. This patient SHALL contain at least one [1..*] US Realm Person Name (PN.US.FIELDED) (identifier: urn:oid:2.16.840.1.113883.10.20.22.5.1.1) (CONF:1198-5284). -- SHALL contain exactly one [1..1] name (CONF:81-9368).

      Proposed Wording

These two conformance statements conflict. The CDA should allow there to be multiple patient names, for example a Legal name and a prior name. Each name may need to conform to the conformance statements under 81-9368 (i.e. 81-9371 and 81-9372).
